Endodontic Surgery

This procedure is commonly known as an apicoectomy or root-end resection. In certain situations, root canal therapy alone may not be sufficient to fully remove all the nerve tissue associated with the root canal system.

Moreover, a previously done root canal may have separated instruments or cracks in areas that cannot be accessed with conventional root canal treatment. In these specific situations, endodontic surgery can be used to salvage the tooth. These cases will require 3D imaging to determine the best way to address the problem.
